During the last decade, wireless service providers have been more focused on growth and adding capacity, and less focused on cost efficiency. As a result, cost inefficiencies have built up in the network, more so in 3G/4G networks. This presentation describes in detail the end-to-end cost considerations that service providers need to address as they evolve to next generation networks (3G/4G) and some of the solution to the challenges.
Bhalaji is currently Director of Transport Network business Unit with over 17 years of communications industry (Broadband - Cable, DSL, Wireless, Wifi, switching, optics, and OSS) experience with recent concentration in the Wireless industry. Prior to Schema, Bhalaji had held Sr. management positions in companies such as Nortel, MCI, Accenture and startups. In addition, he has authored two books in communications published by McGraw Hill. He has also published papers extensively and presented in International conferences around the world. He has a BSEE, MSCS (UMKC'89) and MBA.
