Queuing theory and performance modeling of computer and communication networks, specializing in linear algebraic queuing theory, the matrix-exponential distribution, and
correlated matrix-exponential sequences. These allow for performance models where the exponential and independence assumptions can not be made, yet preserves the ease of modeling with Markovian models.
