Prospective Students
We have outstanding programs in Networking/Telecommunications at all level. We have faculty strength in a wide spectrum of topics. If this is your interest, I strongly recommend you to apply to our program. Please click on the Networking & Telecomm. Research Lab button on the left to find out about our research activities etc.

If you're a prospective MS student, please read information about our masters program with Networking emphasis by visiting the CSEE Department's page and selecting the button for Graduate Program. I do not usually take any incoming MS students as graduate research assistants in their first semester.

If you're a prospective PhD student, please write to me. Please write a concise message -- I'm particularly interested in knowing why you *want* to do a PhD (if your answer is 'I'm really interested in your research area', then you're not paying attention to what I just asked:-). I do take a new PhD student when my PhD-student-load goes below, say, five students, usually every couple of years or so. With UMKC's interdisciplinary PhD program, you can choose Telecommunications & Computer Networking as your primary (coordinating) discipline---in fact, we're one of the few places in the country where you have such an option. For additional information about our PhD program, go to the CSEE Department's web-site and click on the button Graduate Program.

I do get numerous messages from prospective students. My aim is to respond to you as soon as possible. However, if you don't hear from me in two weeks, please feel free to send me another message. My email load (from all sources) is really high; so, it's easy to miss responding to an enquiry. Often, I feel that doing email is my full-time job:-)

NOTE: I do not take any international undergraduate students looking to do summer internships.
